ST Bern Hammer Throwers (back row)

I forgot to congratulate my teammates at ST Bern in my last post. ST Bern is my track club in Switzerland. Last weekend, the team became the Swiss Team Champions in hammer throw. Unfortunately I was unable to make the trip to compete, but the remainder of the team led by two-time Swiss champion Roland Widmer took home the title.

Here in Kamloops, my teammates are also doing well.  Kibwe Johnson and Crystal Smith, two of my new training partners, were also the focus of a feature article in the Kamloops Daily News on Wednesday in case you got a chance to see that.  We also saw the arrival of our newest thrower, American Ryan Jensen.  Dane Miller, who trained with us last year, has returned home to Pennsylvania and started working as a personal trainer.  Visit his site for some great articles and videos Bondarchuk’s training philosophies.

I lead two lives: during the day you’ll find me in my suit and tie as an international tax attorney, but after work I’m training hard as the Swiss national hammer throw champion. Follow me as I work towards the 2012 Olympics and explore this site to learn more about the hammer throw and my various pursuits.
