European Tour 2009

Published on 27 May 2009 in Training Updates

I arrived in Zürich today to begin my ten week European comeptition season.  I will only be here for a few days before heading off to competitions in Fränkisch-Crumbach (Germany), St. Pölten (Austria), Bern (Switzerland), and Bergen (Norway) in June.  My schedule for July is not yet finalized, but I will likely be doing a competition or two in the former Yugoslovia before returning to Zurich for the Swiss Championships on August 1st.  A complete schedule is can be found on the results page. Right now, I’m just focused on recovering from the tiring flight so that I can set a new season’s best on Sunday.

Be sure to check back here for results.  As you might have noticed, I’ve also made some changes to the site that make it easier for you to follow my season.  One new feature (in the top right hand corner) allows you to be automatically notified by e-mail whenever I publish a new post on the site.  Check it out and let me know if you’d like to see any other features on here.

I lead two lives: during the day you’ll find me in my suit and tie as an international tax attorney, but after work I’m training hard as the Swiss national hammer throw champion. Follow me as I work towards the 2012 Olympics and explore this site to learn more about the hammer throw and my various pursuits.
