Training Video Update

Published on 14 May 2009 in Training Updates

My new training program has been slowly doing its job.  The lighter hammers are finally allowing me to better transfer my new strength into the competition weight hammer.  Both my technique and rhythm with the competition hammer have been improving steadily since starting the program last Monday.

Below is a video from today’s training session that shows some of the progress I’m making.  Compared to a month ago, I am doing a much better job and keeping my body weight down and legs bent in the first turn.  I still am working on relaxing in the final turns and continuing to push the hammer with my upper body (rather than the legs) in the release.
