Heading to Croatia

Published on 10 July 2009 in Results, Training Updates

I’m leaving tomorrow on a flight to Croatia. My time here in Germany has been fun, but I’m ready to compete again and that leads me to Croatia. I got a small taste of competition again this week in Saarbrücken, where I threw a new season’s best and the top mark in Switzerland for the year. However, the weather was still inclimate and I reverted back to some old technical flaws that I’ve recently fixed. All said, I know I can do much better as my more important competitions approach and I’m looking forward to the chance to prove myself once again.

While in Croatia, I’ll be training at the Bjelolasica Olympic Training Center and competing at two meets in the Slovenian Grand Prix Series. I’m really looking forward to training again with Olympic Champion Primož Kozmus and his coach who will also be in Bjelolasica. But the highlight may be the opportunity to meet up with my Croatian uncle for a few days as he visits his family there.
