House of Throws Podcast

I had the pleasure today of being a guest on the House of Run podcast. Kevin and Jason are great hosts. Like Jesse Squire’s blog, their podcast provides the perfect fan perspective in their short humor-filled weekly broadcasts about all things running and track. This is their first episode to touch on throwing, so I felt honored to shed a little light on the bigger guys and girls of track and field.

This is my second podcast appearance this fall. In November, I provided some insight on the TrackFocus Weekly – 2010 Field Event Review (Part I and Part II) and got to complain about the IAAF Hammer Challenge and then got them to rank Anita Wlodarczyk‘s world record as the field event performance of the year. I’m surprised I was invited on either show since both have Oregon Ducks running them, but not even they can stand in the way of my plan to take over the world get more people interested in the hammer throw.

Martin,
Thanks for all the work you’ve been doing for the throws. You’ve been a great ambassador for the sport!
